The Biennial Hugo Boss Prize is awarded to “an artist whose work represents a significant development in contemporary art.”
The Hugo Boss Prize 2002 book presents work by the six finalists: Francis Alÿs, Olafur Eliasson, Hachiya Kazuhiko, Pierre Huyghe, Koo Jeong-a, & Anri Sala. The book incorporates diverse content: artist-designed pages, essays, artist biographies, and curatorial text.
We gave each artist the freedom to design their own pages as an individual exhibition, so to speak. Around these pages we created a visual structure to hold everything together.
