Mika Rottenberg: The Production of Luck
monograph
concept, book design, production
This monograph offers an overview of the work and career of Mika Rottenberg, who creates videos and installations in a distinctive, unforgettable narrative style.
Each chapter focuses on one of her videos/installations, with a selection of installation views, video stills, planning diagrams and source materials. Texts by Rottenberg accompany each project. The book also includes texts by, among others, award-winning poet and cultural critic Wayne Koestenbaum, and author and theorist Julia Bryan-Wilson.
Three-dimensional work that is also time-based is difficult to convey in print. But that’s precisely what we aimed to do here, with a structure that lets everything find its rightful place.
